<p>As I mentioned in my previous post, <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/11/giving-thanks.html" title="Giving Thanks">"Giving Thanks"</a>, today I wanted to share about our little weekend getaway. During the last few years I had heard the term "babymoon," but now that I'm expecting a little one myself, it started to make more sense! It's all about that last trip alone with your hubby, before everything changes (and traveling becomes such a pain! Haha). For us, that place was Savannah, Ga. It's several hours away by car, but we love that town! It's full of history, pretty sceneries, and lots of yummy food! :)</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title">The Clothes</h3>
<p>Before we could leave and start enjoying our trip, we had to do some packing. I don't know about you, but that's my least favorite part about trips (and unpacking after)! Haha. I tend to always do 2 things: over-pack like crazy, yet still forget 1 or 2 important items! Haha. So for this trip, I tried really hard to get better at this. I knew I needed clothes for 4 days, but since we would be walking a lot, they had to be comfy and sort of warm. Instead of packing tons of shoes, jackets and pants (like I usually do!), this is what I decided to bring:</p>
<ul>
<li>Tops for each day</li>
<li>3 pairs of pants (I couldn't settle for just 2, like I originally had planned! Haha)</li>
<li>2 Jackets</li>
<li>2 pairs of boots</li>
<li>2 scarves</li>
<li>Accessories</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="post-sub-title">The Food</h3>
<p>We did a lot of walking, but, most importantly, we ate... a lot! Haha. We wanted to try some new places, so we looked online and chose the following based on online reviews. We were actually very pleased with all of them! Here's the breakdown in case you ever visit Savannah (photos below):</p>

<p><b>Friday Dinner: <a href="http://www.hueysontheriver.net" target="_blank" title="Huey's">Huey's</a></b>
<br />(Louisiana-style food. It was too dark to take a good picture though!)<br />
- What the Mr. got: Muffaletta sandwich and fried okra

- What I got: Fried shrimp, red beans and rice, and cornbread (Everything was so yummy!)

<br />(Eclectic cafe with art showcased all over the restaurant)

- What the Mr. got: Prime rib sandwich and chips

- What I got: Monte Cristo sandwich (with chicken instead of ham / turkey) and southwestern potato salad

<p><b>Saturday Dinner: <a href="http://www.blowinsmokebbq.com" target="_blank" title="Blowin' Smoke BBQ">Blowin' Smoke BBQ</a></b>
<br />(Great BBQ place)<br />
- What the Mr. got: BBQ pork sandwich and fried okra

- What I got: Brisket, mac 'n cheese, fried pickle spears and cornbread
</p>

<p><b>Sunday Breakfast: <a href="http://www.claryscafe.com" target="_blank" title="Clary's">Clary's</a></b>
<br />
(Southern breakfast joint. Busy, but worth the wait!)<br />
- What the Mr. got: Biscuits and gravy (This was the only meal the Mr. didn't like. He ended up eating half of my french toast since it was so much! Haha)

- What I got: French toast stuffed with strawberries and cream cheese, topped with whipped cream (My favorite meal of the entire weekend!)</p>

<p><b>Sunday Lunch: <a href="http://www.moes.com" target="_blank" title="Moe's">Moe's</a></b>

(We were out shopping and grabbed something quick)</p>

<p><b>Sunday Dinner: <a href="http://www.vinnievangogo.com" target="_blank" title="Vinnie Van GoGo's">Vinnie Van GoGo's</a></b>
<br />(Delicious and cheap pizza place at the City Market)<br />
- What the Mr. got: Slice of pizza with pepperoni, banana peppers and green olives

- What I got: Slice of cheese pizza</p>

<p><b>Monday breakfast: <a href="http://www.galleryespresso.com" target="_blank" title="Gallery Espresso">Gallery Espresso</a></b>
<br />(Cute and chill cafe on Bull St.)<br />
- What the Mr. got: Blueberry muffin and coffee (The Mr. finished off his muffin before I could even take a picture! Haha)

- What I got: Banana nut muffin and coffee</p>

<p>We loved all of the restaurants, but our favorites were definitely Soho Cafe and Clary's! They both had incredible food! If you find yourself in Savannah, make sure you check them out!</p>

<p>Como les mencioné en mi post anterior, <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/11/giving-thanks.html" title="Giving Thanks">"Dando Gracias"</a>, hoy les quiero compartir de nuestro pequeño viaje de fin de semana. Durante los últimos años yo había escuchado el término "babymoon," pero ahora que estoy esperando un pequeñín, lo entiendo mejor! Se trata del último viaje a solas con tu esposo, ¡antes de que todo cambien (y de que viajar se convierta en un dolor! Jaja). Para nosotros, ese lugar fue Savannah, Georgia. Está a varias horas de distancia en carro, ¡pero nos encanta esta ciudad! ¡Está llena de historia, paisajes bonitos, y de un montón de comida deliciosa! :)</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title">La Ropa</h3>
    <p>Antes de que pudiéramos salir y empezar a disfrutar de nuestro viaje, tuvimos que empacar un poco. Yo no sé ustedes, ¡pero esa es mi parte menos favorita de los viajes (y desempacar después)! Jaja. Tiendo a hacer 2 cosas: ¡empaco demasiadas cosas, y aún así se me olvidan 1 o 2 cosas importantes! Jaja. Así que para este viaje, traté de mejorar en esto. Sabía que necesitaba ropa para 4 días, pero como íbamos a estar caminando bastante, tenían que ser cómodas y más o menos calientes. En lugar de empacar un montón de zapatos, chaquetas y pantalones (¡como suelo hacer!), esto es lo que decidí llevar:</p>
    <ul>
    <li>Camisas para cada día</li>
    <li>3 Pares de pantalones (¡No pude conformarme con sólo 2, como tenía planeado al principio! Jaja)</li>
    <li>2 Chaquetas</li>
    <li>2 Pares de botas</li>
    <li>2 Bufandas</li>
    <li>Pocos accesorios</li>
    </ul>

    <h3 class="post-sub-title">La Comida</h3>
    <p>Caminamos bastante, pero, más importante, comimos... ¡un montón! Jaja. Queríamos probar algunos lugares nuevos, así que buscamos opciones en internet y elegimos los siguientes basado en los comentarios online. ¡Realmente quedamos muy contentos con todos ellos! Aquí están los detalles en caso de que visites Savannah:</p>

<p><b>Cena del Viernes: <a href="http://www.hueysontheriver.net" target="_blank" title="Huey's">Huey's</a></b>
<br />(Comida al estilo de Luisiana. ¡Estaba demasiado oscuro para tomar una buena foto!<br />

- Lo que yo ordené: Camarones fritos, frijoles rojos con arroz, y pan de maíz (¡Todo estuvo delicioso!)

        <br />- Lo que yo ordené: Pecho de cerdo, macarrones con queso, pepinillos fritos y pan de maíz

        (Lugar de desayuno sureño. Hay que esperar un poco, ¡pero vale la pena!)
         
        <br />- Lo que el Mr. ordenó: Biscuits y gravy (Esta fue la única comida que  al Mr. no le gustó. ¡Terminó comiéndose la mitad de mi pan francés ya que era tanto! Jaja) 
        <br />- Lo que yo ordené: Pan francés relleno de fresas y queso crema, cubierto con crema batida (¡Mi comida favorita de todo el fin de semana!)

        <br />- Lo que el Mr. ordenó: Panecillo de arándanos y café (¡El Mr. se terminó su panecillo antes de que pudiera tomarle una foto! Jaja)

    <p>Nos encantaron todos los restaurantes, ¡pero nuestros favoritos definitivamente fueron Soho Cafe y Clary's! ¡Ambos tuvieron comida increíble! Si te encuentras en Savannah, ¡asegúrate de probarlos!</p>

<h2 class="post-title entry-title espanol">(Dando Gracias)</h2>

<p>Happy Tuesday! I hope y'all are having a good week so far! :) I was away from my computer for several days so I wanted to catch up on a few things!</p>
<p>As most of you know, Thanksgiving was celebrated this past Thursday here in the US. Like most years, the Mr. and I got together with his wonderful family and had a delicious lunch!. Even though I didn't grow up celebrating Thanksgiving in Honduras, it's becoming one of my favorite holidays! I mean, what's not to love?! You get quality time with family, <b>a lot</b> of delicious food and a reminder to be grateful, not only on Thanksgiving, but all year long! :)</p>
<p>I don't know if it's just a thing in the US or what, but I find it funny / weird that we start off with Thursday when social media feeds go crazy about being thankful for everyone and everything we have, but then the next day, or same night even, we go crazy for Black Friday sales! Haha. Don't get me wrong, I love great deals, but not so much when it becomes violent and out of control! Haha. This year, the Mr. and I decided to skip Black Friday and to take a little weekend trip instead. Knowing that I'm already halfway through my pregnancy, we wanted to take a little "babymoon" before traveling and walking becomes a major pain! Haha. (If you missed my baby news, you can check out the <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/10/missing-in-action.html" title="Baby Video Announcement" target="_blank">video announcement here</a>). I'll be sharing a little more about our babymoon and my daily outfits in the coming days! :)</p>
<p>I did, however, get a few good deals for Cyber Monday! Online shopping with no crazy people pushing and shoving? Yes, that's a little more of my kind of pace! Haha. I finally gave in and bought a few maternity items. We'll see if they fit! Haha.</p>

 <p>¡Feliz Martes! ¡Espero que estén teniendo una buena semana! :) Estuve lejos de mi computadora por varios días, ¡así que quería ponerme al día con algunas cosas!</p>
    <p>Como la mayoría de ustedes ya saben, aquí en los EE.UU. el día de Acción de Gracias se celebró el jueves pasado. Igual que en los últimos años, ¡el Mr. y yo nos reunimos con su maravillosa familia y tuvimos un delicioso almuerzo! Y aunque yo no crecí celebrando el día de Acción de Gracias en Honduras, ¡se está convirtiendo en una de mis celebraciones favoritas! Quiero decir, ¿qué no es de amar?! Tienes un tiempo agradable con la familia, un <b>montón</b> de comida deliciosa y un recordatorio para estar agradecidos, no sólo en Acción de Gracias, ¡pero a lo largo de todo el año! :)</p>
    <p>No sé si es algo sólo en los EE.UU. o qué, pero me resulta chistoso / raro que empezamos el Jueves con los medios de comunicación social inundados con agradecimiento por las personas y las cosas que tenemos, pero al día siguiente, o incluso esa misma noche, ¡nos volvemos locos por las ofertas de Black Friday! Jaja. Normalmente me encantan las buenas ofertas, ¡pero no tanto cuando las cosas se ponen violentas y fuera de control! Jaja. Este año, el Mr. y yo decidimos no participar de Black Friday y hacer un pequeño viaje de fin de semana en su lugar. Sabiendo que ya estoy a mitad de mi embarazo, ¡queríamos tomar un "babymoon" antes de que viajar y caminar se conviertan en un gran dolor! Jaja. (Si te perdiste mis noticias del bebé, puedes ver el <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/10/missing-in-action.html" title="Baby Video Announcement" target="_blank">anuncio de video aquí</a>). ¡En los próximos días voy a compartir un poco más sobre nuestro "babymoon" y mis atuendos diarios del viaje! :)</p>
    <p>Sin embargo, ¡si logré obtener algunas ofertas buenas para el Cyber Monday! ¿Comprar en línea, sin gente loca empujando? ¡Sí, así es más mi estilo de compras! Jaja. Al fin me rendí y compré alguna ropa de maternidad. ¡Vamos a ver si quedan! Jaja.</p>

<p>I think I've made it pretty clear just how much I love Fall! Haha. I absolutely adore the jackets and sweaters, scarves and boots! Today I wanted to share an outfit showcasing one of my favorite Fall fabrics: tweed. As I mentioned in <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/11/fall-2012-faves-fabrics.html" title="Fall 2012 Faves: Fabrics" target="_blank">"Fall 2012 Faves: Fabrics"</a>, tweed is such a great Fall fabric since you can make it look ladylike and classic, or you can mix it up to make it look more youthful.</p>
<p>I started this outfit with this tweed jacket that I've had for a few years. Since I was just hanging out and running errands with the hubby on this particular day, I wanted to keep it casual. I went with these skinny jeans in a rust-like color because, first of all, I love skinny pants and, secondly, because I love this color! Haha. Then I kept everything else simple in black so it wouldn't compete with the jacket and the jeans. For the jewelry, I wanted to do silver, so I chose my cute anchor earrings, a knotted necklace and this cuff I got from WetSeal not too long ago.</p>
<p>So there you have it, my casual tweed look! Are you a fan of tweed too?</p>

 <p>¡Creo que ya lo he dicho bien claro cuánto me encanta el Otoño! Jaja. ¡Absolutamente adoro las chaquetas y suéteres, bufandas y botas! Hoy quería compartirles un atuendo mostrando una de mis telas favoritas para Otoño: el tweed. Como les mencioné en <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/11/fall-2012-faves-fabrics.html" title="Favoritos del Otoño 2012: Tejidos" target="_blank">"Favoritos del Otoño 2012: Tejidos"</a>, el tweed es un gran tejido para el Otoño ya que lo puedes hacer ver elegante y clásico, o si lo combinas bien lo puedes hacer ver más juvenil.</p>
    <p>Empecé este atuendo con esta chaqueta de tweed que he tenido por algunos años. Ya que sólo la estaba pasando con mi esposo y haciendo mandados, quise hacer mi atuendo más casual. Escogí estos jeans "skinny" en un color como de oxidación porque, primeramente, me encantan los jeans "skinny", y, segundamente, ¡me encanta este color! Jaja. Lo demás lo quise dejar más simple, todo en color negro, para que no compitiera con la chaqueta y los jeans. Para la joyería, quería todo en plateado, como estos aretes de ancla, un collar de nudo, y este brazalete que compré hace poco en WetSeal.</p>
    <p>Así que ahí lo tienes, ¡mi atuendo de tweed casual! ¿Eres fanática del tweed también?</p>

<p>In my <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/10/fall-2012-faves-colors.html" target="_blank" title="Fall 2012 Faves: Colors">"Fall 2012 Faves: Colors" post</a>, I talked about the fun colors that have me excited this Fall. Now that I have that covered, I wanted to go over the fabrics / materials of this lovely season! So here we go:</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title">Leather</h3>
<p>Leather was a big hit this Summer but it's making an even bigger scene this Fall. Not only do you have your traditional biker jacket, but this season think of leather skirts, tops, dresses, skinnies, and leggings. Plus, there's no need to feel limited to just black or brown leather. Try leather pieces in the hottest Fall colors as well!</p>
<h3 class="post-sub-title">Tweed</h3>
<p>I love tweed but it can be a tricky fabric! A lot of people run away from it since it can go matronly pretty easy! Haha. To make tweed look more youthful, choose fitted / structured pieces or short skirts! :)</p>
<h3 class="post-sub-title">Velvet</h3>
<p>I don't know why, but velvet sometimes reminds me of  ladies in black or dark green velvet dresses at Christmas parties! Haha. This season, however, velvet is making an appearance on all kinds of pieces, not just dresses. Try velvet skinnies, leggings, jackets, tops and skirts. You can go for your traditional black or venture into vibrant colors!</p>
<h3 class="post-sub-title">Corduroy</h3>
<p>This has to be one of my go-to fabrics for Fall. It's easy to wear like denim, but it keeps you warmer than denim does! You can find cord skinnies in all sorts of fun colors this fall, but you can also choose a  jacket or short skirt.</p>
<h3 class="post-sub-title">Knit</h3>
<p>I don't know about your city, but over here in the Southeast, Fall means that it's cold one day and warm again the next. Haha. So the best way to dress for Fall is definitely with layers; If you get warm, you can always just peal a layer or two! Knit is great for layering, but also think of chunky knit sweaters or sweater dresses for a comfy yet chic look!</p>

    <p>El cuero fue un gran éxito este verano, pero está haciendo una escena aún más grande este Otoño. No sólo tienes tu chaqueta de motociclista tradicional, pero piensa también en faldas, camisas, vestidos, pantalones "skinny" y leggings. Además, no hay necesidad de sentirse limitado al cuero sólo en negro o café. ¡Prueba piezas de cuero en los colores más calientes del Otoño también!</p>
    <h3 class="post-sub-title">Tweed</h3>
    <p>Me encanta el tweed, ¡pero puede ser un tejido difícil de usar! ¡Bastante gente huye de el ya que fácilmente puede verse antiguo o de señora mayor! Jaja. Para hacer que el tweed se vea más juvenil, ¡escoge piezas que se formen al cuerpo o faldas cortas! :)</p>
    <h3 class="post-sub-title">Terciopelo</h3>
    <p>No sé por qué, ¡pero el terciopelo a veces me recuerda a señoras en vestidos de terciopelo en negro o verde oscuro en fiestas de Navidad! Jaja. Sin embargo, esta estación el terciopelo está haciendo su aparición es varios tipos de piezas, no sólo en los vestidos. Prueba pantalones "skinny", leggings, chaquetas, camisas y faldas en terciopelo. Puedes irte por tu color negro tradicional, ¡o aventurarte en los colores vivos del momento!</p>
    <h3 class="post-sub-title">Corduroy</h3>
    <p>Este tiene que ser uno de mis tejidos favoritos del Otoño. Es fácil de usar como la mezclilla, ¡pero te mantiene más caliente que la mezclilla! Puedes encontrar pantalones "skinny" en una gran variedad de colores, pero también puedes escoger una chaqueta o falda corta.</p>
    <h3 class="post-sub-title">Tela de Punto</h3>
    <p>Yo no sé acerca de tu ciudad, pero aquí en el Sureste de los E.E.U.U., el Otoño significa que un día está frío y el siguiente vuelve a estar caliente. Jaja. Así que la mejor manera de vestirse para el Otoño es con varias capas de ropa; Si te da calor, ¡siempre puedes quitarte una o dos capas! La tela de punto es muy buena para las capas, ¡pero también piensa en suéteres gruesos de punto o en vestidos de tela de suéter para un estilo casual pero "chic"!</p>

<p>Hi Everyone! This past summer I might have gone a little shopping crazy, but I did find some really good deals! One of my favorite finds was this striped yellow dress. Unfortunately, I bought it when the summer was almost over so I only got to wear it once or so. It's a short dress so I had 2 choices when Fall started: a) put it away and wait for next Spring / Summer to wear it, or b) come up with a way to wear it throughout Fall. As you can see, I went with option b! If you find yourself in the same conundrum and want to wear some of your summer dresses during Fall, here are a few of my tips on how to do so! Feel free to mix and match whichever of them fit your dress' style and silhouette.</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">1. Tights</h3>
<p>One of my favorite things to wear during Fall is tights! Not only do they keep you warm through the cold months, but they can look super chic too! When it comes to choosing tights, you have many options. You can go for traditional ones in solid and neutral colors, but don't be afraid to try bright colors and/or patterns. Choose a color and/or pattern that go with your dress, but doesn't clash with it!</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">2. Boots</h3>
<p>Similar to tights, boots and booties are a major reason why I love Fall fashion oh so much! I probably have just as many boots as shoes or maybe even more than shoes! Haha. Depending on your dress' silhouette and length, choose a pair of boots that compliments it.</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">3. Scarf / Hat</h3>
<p>Another easy thing to do is to add wintery accessories, such as a scarf, hat and/or gloves! Depending on temperatures, choose a light or thick fabric to give you enough warmth. Last Winter was my first season wearing beanie hats and I totally fell in love with them! :)</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">4. Tee Underneath Dress</h3>
<p>Depending on your dress' neckline and sleeves, you might be able to wear a long-sleeve tee or thin sweater underneath your dress. This doesn't work with every dress type, so you might have to try it on to decide if it works with your dress!</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">5. Top Over Dress</h3>
<p>If a tee doesn't work underneath your dress, try wearing your dress as a skirt. Just add a top or sweater on top and you're ready to go! If you feel like it's too boxy, try adding a belt to give you more of a waistline! ;)</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">6. Sweater / Jacket</h3>

    <p>¡Hola a todos! Es muy posible que este Verano me volví un poco loca comprando, ¡pero sí que encontré unas ofertas muy buenas! Jaja. Uno de mis descubrimientos favoritos fue este vestido amarillo rayado. Desafortunadamente, lo compré cuando el Verano estaba por terminar, así que sólo pude usarlo como una vez. Es un vestido corto, así que tuve 2 opciones cuando empezó el Otoño: a) guardarlo y esperar a la próxima Primavera / Verano para usarlo, o b encontrar alguna manera de usarlo durante el Otoño. Como puedes ver, me fui con la opción b! Si te encuentras en el mismo interrogante y quieres usar algunos de tus vestidos de Verano durante el Otoño, ¡aquí están algunos de mis consejos sobre cómo hacerlo! Siéntete libre de mezclar y combinar cualquiera de ellas que funcionen con el estilo y silueta de tu vestido.</p>
    
    <h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">1. Mallas o Medias</h3>
    <p>¡Una de mis cosas favoritas para usar en el Otoño es las mallas! No sólo te mantienen caliente durante los meses fríos, ¡pero también pueden verse super "chic"! Cuando se trata de escoger mallas, tienes muchas opciones. Puedes irte por las tradicionales con colores sólidos y neutros, pero no tengas miedo de probar colores brillantes y/o patrones. Elije un color y/o patrón que vaya con tu vestido, ¡pero que no choque con él!</p>
    
    <h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">2. Botas</h3>
    <p>Igual que las mallas, ¡las botas y botines son una razón importante por qué me encanta la moda de Otoño! Es probable que tenga un número igual de pares de botas que de zapatos, ¡o tal vez más que de zapatos! Jaja. Dependiendo de la silueta y del largo de tu vestido, escoge las botas que lo cumplimenten.</p>
    
    <h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">3. Bufanda / Sombrero</h3>
    <p>Otra cosa fácil de hacer es agregar accesorios de Invierno, como una bufanda, sobrero y/o guantes. Dependiendo de las temperaturas, escoge una tela, ya sea ligera o gruesa, que te dé sufienciente calor. El Invierno pasado fue mi primera estación usando sombreros "beanie", ¡y quedé encantada con ellos! :)</p>
    
    <h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">4. Camisa Debajo del Vestido</h3>
    <p>Dependiendo del tipo de cuello y mangas de tu vestido, puede ser que puedas usar una camisa o suéter ligero debajo de él. Está opción no funciona con todos los tipos de vestidos, ¡así que tendrás que probártelo para ver si funciona con tu vestido!</p>
    
    <h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">5. Camisa Encima del Vestido</h3>
    <p>Si una camisa no funciona debajo de tu vestido, prueba usar tu vestido como si fuera una falda. Simplemente agrega una camisa o suéter encima, ¡y ya estás lista! Si sientes que te ves muy sin forma, ¡prueba ponerte una faja para darte más cintura! ;)</p>
    
    <h3 class="post-sub-title txt-left">6. Suéter / Chaqueta</h3>
    <p>Cuando todo lo demás falla o si quieres una solución super fácil, ¡simplemente añade un suéter o una chaqueta! Dependiendo de cuán frío está tu pueblo / ciudad, ¡puedes agregar desde un suéter ligero hasta llegar a una chaqueta gruesa o abrigo!</p>
