<p>Happy Monday! Did you watch the Grammy Awards last night? The show was fine and all, but what I cared most about was the Red Carpet, of course!</p>
<p>Some of the top trends included black dresses (some with a lot of sheer), metallic dresses, and cutouts. Below are my top 5 faves!</p>

<p>In my <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/10/fall-2012-faves-colors.html" target="_blank" title="Fall 2012 Faves: Colors">"Fall 2012 Faves: Colors" post</a>, I talked about the fun colors that have me excited this Fall. Now that I have that covered, I wanted to go over the fabrics / materials of this lovely season! So here we go:</p>

<h3 class="post-sub-title">Leather</h3>
<p>Leather was a big hit this Summer but it's making an even bigger scene this Fall. Not only do you have your traditional biker jacket, but this season think of leather skirts, tops, dresses, skinnies, and leggings. Plus, there's no need to feel limited to just black or brown leather. Try leather pieces in the hottest Fall colors as well!</p>
<h3 class="post-sub-title">Tweed</h3>
<p>I love tweed but it can be a tricky fabric! A lot of people run away from it since it can go matronly pretty easy! Haha. To make tweed look more youthful, choose fitted / structured pieces or short skirts! :)</p>
<h3 class="post-sub-title">Velvet</h3>
<p>I don't know why, but velvet sometimes reminds me of  ladies in black or dark green velvet dresses at Christmas parties! Haha. This season, however, velvet is making an appearance on all kinds of pieces, not just dresses. Try velvet skinnies, leggings, jackets, tops and skirts. You can go for your traditional black or venture into vibrant colors!</p>
<h3 class="post-sub-title">Corduroy</h3>
<p>This has to be one of my go-to fabrics for Fall. It's easy to wear like denim, but it keeps you warmer than denim does! You can find cord skinnies in all sorts of fun colors this fall, but you can also choose a  jacket or short skirt.</p>
<h3 class="post-sub-title">Knit</h3>
<p>I don't know about your city, but over here in the Southeast, Fall means that it's cold one day and warm again the next. Haha. So the best way to dress for Fall is definitely with layers; If you get warm, you can always just peal a layer or two! Knit is great for layering, but also think of chunky knit sweaters or sweater dresses for a comfy yet chic look!</p>

Ahora que he cubierto eso, ¡quería contarles de los tejidos / materiales de esta bella estación! Así que aquí vamos:</p>
    <h3 class="post-sub-title">Cuero</h3>
    <p>El cuero fue un gran éxito este verano, pero está haciendo una escena aún más grande este Otoño. No sólo tienes tu chaqueta de motociclista tradicional, pero piensa también en faldas, camisas, vestidos, pantalones "skinny" y leggings. Además, no hay necesidad de sentirse limitado al cuero sólo en negro o café. ¡Prueba piezas de cuero en los colores más calientes del Otoño también!</p>
    <h3 class="post-sub-title">Tweed</h3>
    <p>Me encanta el tweed, ¡pero puede ser un tejido difícil de usar! ¡Bastante gente huye de el ya que fácilmente puede verse antiguo o de señora mayor! Jaja. Para hacer que el tweed se vea más juvenil, ¡escoge piezas que se formen al cuerpo o faldas cortas! :)</p>
    <h3 class="post-sub-title">Terciopelo</h3>
    <p>No sé por qué, ¡pero el terciopelo a veces me recuerda a señoras en vestidos de terciopelo en negro o verde oscuro en fiestas de Navidad! Jaja. Sin embargo, esta estación el terciopelo está haciendo su aparición es varios tipos de piezas, no sólo en los vestidos. Prueba pantalones "skinny", leggings, chaquetas, camisas y faldas en terciopelo. Puedes irte por tu color negro tradicional, ¡o aventurarte en los colores vivos del momento!</p>
    <h3 class="post-sub-title">Corduroy</h3>
    <p>Este tiene que ser uno de mis tejidos favoritos del Otoño. Es fácil de usar como la mezclilla, ¡pero te mantiene más caliente que la mezclilla! Puedes encontrar pantalones "skinny" en una gran variedad de colores, pero también puedes escoger una chaqueta o falda corta.</p>
    <h3 class="post-sub-title">Tela de Punto</h3>
    <p>Yo no sé acerca de tu ciudad, pero aquí en el Sureste de los E.E.U.U., el Otoño significa que un día está frío y el siguiente vuelve a estar caliente. Jaja. Así que la mejor manera de vestirse para el Otoño es con varias capas de ropa; Si te da calor, ¡siempre puedes quitarte una o dos capas! La tela de punto es muy buena para las capas, ¡pero también piensa en suéteres gruesos de punto o en vestidos de tela de suéter para un estilo casual pero "chic"!</p>

<p>Fall just might be my favorite season! The weather cools down, the leaves start to change colors, it means Christmas is just around the corner, and Fall fashion just makes me happy! Today I'm talking about Fall color trends. We saw pretty pastels for spring and as we went into Summer, pastels rolled over but brights and neons were also added to the mix. Fall and Winter are usually known for subdued colors and the usual grays and blacks. This year, however, Fall is about ditching the neutrals and highlighting vibrant colors! So, here are my favorite Fall colors:</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Oranges</h4>
<p>Tangerine and bright orange were huge for Summer and they continue to make their way into Fall. Trade in the neon orange for deeper, but still vibrant, orange hues like burnt orange.</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Deep Purples</h4>
<p>I never was a big fan of purple, but it's been creeping into my wardrobe throughout this past year! Now I absolutely love purple, especially for Fall. When picking out purple pieces, think of rich hues of purple and violet, and even some brighter hues.</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Vibrant Blues</h4>
<p>It's no secret that I love blue. It's absolutely my fave color, so I was very excited to see so many shades of blue for Fall! Think of rich and vibrant blues, and not just your typical navy blue for Fall. Some of the hot hues include cobalt, royal blue, and cerulean blue. (Does "cerulean blue" remind you of "The Devil Wears Prada" too? That's where my mind goes every time! Haha). Don't be afraid to also go into lighter shades like teal and such.</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Military Green</h4>
<p>With this green, it's not just about the color but about the military vibe. Since this color is not very exciting on its own, try pairing it with bright colors to lighten up your outfit!</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Burgundy and Reds</h4>
<p>One of the "it" colors of this season is definitely burgundy! It's all over the clothes and accessories for Fall! I just love how classy it is. Don't forget about the other shades of red though, even bright red!</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Fun Yellows</h4>
<p>If you've read some of my Summer posts (<a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/06/neon-joy.html" target="_blank" title="Neon Joy">"Neon Joy"</a>, <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/06/color-crush-highlighter-yellow.html" target="_blank" title="Color Crush: Highlighter Yellow">"Color Crush: Highlighter Yellow"</a>, etc.), you'll know how obsessed I've been about yellow! Haha. And it seems like Fall will be a continuation of such love. We're still looking at bright yellows, but tone them down a bit and also add some mustard-y shades to your wardrobe.</p>

<p>El Otoño podría ser mi estación favorita. ¡El clima empieza a enfriar, las hojas cambian de color, significa que la Navidad está a la vuelta de la esquina, y más importante, la moda de Otoño simplemente me hace feliz! Hoy les quiero compartir mis tendencias favoritas de color para este Otoño. Vimos muchos colores pastel para la Primavera y a medida que avanzamos al Verano, los pasteles continuaron pero los colores brillantes y neones también se añadieron a la mezcla. El Otoño y el Invierno son generalmente conocidos por los colores apagados y los grises y negros aburridos. Sin embargo, ¡este Otoño es todo acerca de abandonar los colores neutrales y resaltar los colores vivos! Así que aquí están mis colores favoritos para este Otoño:</p>

<p>El anaranjado brillante y el color mandarina fueron enormes para el Verano y continúan su popularidad en Otoño. Cambia el anaranjado neón por tonos más profundos, pero siempre vivos, como el anaranjado quemado.</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Morados Profundos</h4>
<p>Nunca fui una gran fanática del color morado, ¡pero en el último año se ha infiltrado en mi vestuario! Ahora me encanta el morado, especialmente para el Otoño. Cuando escojas piezas moradas, piensa en tonos vivos de morado y violeta, incluyendo tonos más brillantes.</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Azules Vivos</h4>
<p>No es secreto que me encanta el color azul. Es absolutamente mi color favorito, ¡así que me emocioné mucho al ver tantos tonos de azul para este Otoño! ¡Piensa en tonos vivos y no sólo en tu típico azul marino! Algunos de los azules del momento incluyen el cobalto, azul real, y el azul cerúleo. (¿No te recuerda el "azul cerúleo" a la película "The Devil Wears Prada"? ¡Ahí es donde se va mi mente cada vez! Jaja). No tengas miedo de ir también a los tonos más claros como el verde azulado y otros parecidos.</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Verde Militar</h4>
<p>Con este verde, no se trata solamente del color pero de la vibra militar que le da a tu atuendo. Ya que este color no es muy emocionante por sí mismo, ¡prueba combinarlo con colores brillantes para que tu atuendo sea un poco más feliz!</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Burdeos y los Rojos</h4>
<p>¡Uno de los colores más populares de esta temporada es definitivamente el color burdeos! ¡Lo puedes ver en toda la ropa y accesorios del momento! Simplemente me encanta cuán elegante es. Pero no te olvides de los otros tonos de rojo, ¡incluyendo el rojo vivo!</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Amarillos Divertidos</h4>
<p>Si has leído algunos de mis post del Verano (<a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/06/neon-joy.html" target="_blank" title="Gozo Neón">"Gozo Neón"</a>, <a href="http://www.natinlove.com/2012/06/color-crush-highlighter-yellow.html" target="_blank" title="Amor de Color: Amarillo de Resaltar">"Amor de Color: Amarillo de Resaltar"</a>, etc.), ¡sabrás que tan obsesionada he estado por el amarillo! Y parece que el Otoño será una continuación de ese amor. Todavía estamos viendo amarillos vivos, pero busca tonos un poco menos brillante y también añade algunos tonos de mostaza a tu vestuario.</p>

<div>My love for pink has been a roller-coaster ride throughout the years. Growing up, I liked and did whatever my big sister liked and did. So when her favorite color was blue, guess what mine was? Blue! As I went on to high school, I developed my own love for blue, but as a personal choice and not just to copy my sis. Pink seemed too girly to me and I was not a very girly girl growing up. Then everything changed when I moved to the US for college and I got a chance to start fresh. I decided to reinvent myself and totally did a 180° turn! I went extra girly and became infatuated with pink. I say "infatuated" because everything I owned was pink! My dorm room, my clothes and even my computer theme (and command prompt!) was pink. Haha. But shortly after college, I grew out of that phase and ran back to my blue love affair. I haven't shunned pink all together, as you can see, but it definitely requires me to be in a girly mood to wear it.</div><br>

<p>This summer it's all about adding some fun to your wardrobe! That's why the current trends include colored pants, stripes, neon, floral prints, summer scarves and pastels. The key to trends, as to most things, is moderation. Can you imagine wearing them all at once? Unless the theme of your schoolday or party is "Tacky Outfit," please refrain from wearing them all! Haha. But if you choose wisely, you can easily incorporate any of these trends to you existing wardrobe, even to your work clothes (which I love!). Here's how I mixed some of the latest trends out to dinner with the Mr. and some friends:</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Colored pants</h4>
<p>Bright colors just scream summer, don't you think? What a better way to add a pop of color to your outfit than by wearing colored pants! This might be my favorite trend this season. Before this past spring, most of my pants were gray, black, navy or khaki... meaning, they were all neutral and boring! After a shopping trip here and there, now my pants collection doesn't look so sad :). Don't be afraid to wear colored pants or shorts, just make sure all the colors work well together. Like, you might want to wear a more neutral top if your pants are pretty bright.</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Neon</h4>
<p>This is a tricky trend to pull off without looking like a neon sign! I work in an office environment, so I try to add this trend in small amounts, like the dots in my scarf. Neon is not usually in the 'work appropriate' list at most jobs, but if you wear it in subtle ways you can get away with it! A fun and appropriate way to wear neon is in jewelry. Just add a statement necklace or some fun bracelets to your outfit, and you're good to go!</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Summer scarves</h4>
<p>I'm a scarf fanatic, you can ask the Mr.! (I was so excited last Christmas when we were in Montreal, and he wore a scarf for the first time... ever! Haha) But with the temperatures rising, how do you wear a scarf? That's where summer scarves come in! It's all about the fabric. <p>Este verano todo se trata de añadir un toque de divesión a tu vestuario! Es por eso que las tendencias del momento incluyen pantalones de colores, estampados de rayas, colores neón, estampados florales, bufandas de verano y colores pasteles. The clave de las tendecias, como de la mayoría de las cosas, está en la moderación. ¿Te imaginás usar todas a la vez? A menos que el tema de tu día de colegio y fiesta sea 'Atuendo Cursi," por favor no uses todas al mismo tiempo! Jaja. Pero si escoges sabiamente, puedes fácilmente incorporar cualquiera de estas tendencias a tu vestuario actual, incluyendo a tu ropa de trabajo (lo cual me encanta!). Así es como mezclé algunas de las tendendecias actuales al ir a cenar con mi esposo y unos amigos:</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Pantalones de colores</h4>
<p>Los colores brillantes simplemente gritan verano, ¿no te parece? ¡Qué mejor manera de añadir un toque de color a tu atuendo que usando pantalones de colores! Esta podría ser mi tendencia favorita de la temporada. Antes de la primavera pasada, la mayoría de mis pantalones eran grises, negros, azul marino o caqui ... es decir, eran neutrales y aburridos! Después de un viaje de compras por aquí y por allá, ahora mi colección de pantalones no se ve tan triste :). No tengas miedo de usar pantalones o shorts de color, sólo asegúrate que todos los colores se vean bien juntos. Por ejemplo, usa una camisa más neutral si tus pantalones son bastante brillante.</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Colores Neón</h4>
<p>Esta es una tendencia difícil de usar sin parecer como un anuncio de neón! Yo trabajo en un ambiente de oficina, así que trato de agregar esta tendencia en pequeñas cantidades, como los puntos en mi bufanda. Los colores neones no están generalmente en la lista de ropa "apropiado para el trabajo" en la mayoría de los empleos, pero si los usas de maneras sutiles puedes salirte con la tuya! Una manera divertida y apropiada de usar colores neones es en la joyería. Sólo añade un collar o unas pulseras neón a tu atuendo, y ya estás lista!</p>

<h4 class="post-sub-title txt-left">Bufandas de verano</h4>
<p>Soy una fanática de bufandas, pueden preguntarle a mi esposo! (Estaba tan emocionada la Navidad pasada, cuando estábamos en Montreal, y el se puso una bufanda por primera vez... al fin! Jaja) Pero con las temperaturas subiendo, ¿cómo puedes usar una bufanda? Es ahí donde entran las bufandas de verano! Todo está en la tela. Busca telas ligeras que respiran bastante, para que no te acaloren. Conseguí esta bufanda en un viaje reciente al centro comercial y me encanta cómo le da un poco de vida a mi camiseta blanca sin mangas que es tan sencilla.</p>
