I'm not one to usually wear holiday colors. I never wear green on St. Patrick's day, red on Valentine's, or red and green on Christmas. So why the red, white and blue on an independence day holiday for a country that is not even my own? It might just be that I'm overjoyed to get a day off work or maybe I just like wearing shades of blues and reds together. Whatever the case, I wanted to wear red, white and blue this week. I was planning on wearing navy with my red and white seersucker skirt, but it felt too normal and too holiday-ish! Haha. I then decided to wear this more of an indigo/purple blue, and throw on some turquoise shoes and necklace for a pop of color. It now felt more like me and less like a 4th of July Ad version of me!

un poco de rojo, blanco y azul
No soy alguien que le gusta usar los colores de días festivos. Yo nunca me pongo verde en día de San Patricio, rojo en día de San Valentín, o rojo y verde en Navidad. Entonces por qué el rojo, blanco y azul en el día de independencia de un país que ni siquiera es mi país? Tal vez será que estoy super contenta de tener el día libre o tal vez simplemente me gusta usar tonos de azul y rojo juntos. En cualquier caso, esta semana quería usar rojo, blanco y azul. Estaba planeando usar azul marino con my falda de 'seersucker' rojo y blanco, pero me pareció muy normal y muy festivo! Jaja. Entonces decidí usar este azul que es más índigo/púrpura, y agregar unos zapatos y un collar de color turquesa para un toque de color. Ahora sí se siente más como yo y menos como un anuncio comercial del 4to de Julio!
Así que ahí lo tienen, mi atuendo festivo pero no super festivo! :) ¡Feliz 4to de Julio! ¡Espero que tengan un día divertido!
